Madonna has donned a bizarre accessory during rehearsals for her highly-anticipated free concert in Rio de Janeiro
The pop queen, 65, was pictured on stage at Copacabana Beach in the Brazilian city on Thursday in a neon green balaclava ahead of the large-scale conclusion to her Celebration Tour.
Madonna’s global string of shows kicked off in mid-October at The 02 Arena in London, and marks her first retrospective tour, which highlights her more than four-decade recording career.
However, the singer stumbled into an awkward moment on stage during the LA leg, when she asked a wheelchair-bound fan to stand up during her performance.
“What are you doing sitting down over there?” she appeared to say, while pointing at them, before asking again: “What are you getting sitting down?”
Seemingly unable to hear their response, Madonna is seen moving closer to the edge of the stage, before realising the fan was in a wheelchair.
“Oh, okay,” she admitted. “Politically incorrect. Sorry about that … I’m glad you’re here.”
