THE 50-year-old singer’s makeover as a fashion icon continues — so much so, fans didn’t even recognise her brand new look.

CELINE Dion’s makeover from power balladeer to fashion-forward icon continues — so much so, some fans couldn’t even recognise her latest Instagram post.

The My Heart Will Go On singer, 50, posted a photo of herself looking something like a long-lost Olsen twin in a JW Anderson dress, Gucci scarf, Dior sunglasses and Saint Laurent shoes today.

She finished off the ensemble with an Hermès bag — and a new-look blond hairdo, complete with fringe.

“Are you Celine or are you Lady Gaga?” one fan wrote underneath the photo. “Oh em gee! You don’t even look like Celine any more!” said another.

“Is this REALLY Celine?” asked another.

Dion frequently used to end up on worst dressed lists thanks to questionable ensembles like the infamous ‘backwards tuxedo’ she wore to the 1999 Oscars. In recent years, though, she’s reinvented herself Posh Spice-style as something of a fashion icon, posing for Vogue and strutting her stuff at Paris Fashion Week.

Last year the mum-of-three explained how fashion had been a source of joy in her life following the death of her beloved husband and manager René Angélil in 2016, and the death of her brother just a few days later.

“It’s amazing how a little bit of fantasy can alter our moods,” she told People.

“I’ve always loved fashion, from as far back as I can remember. But as everyone knows, I’ve gone through some extremely difficult times in recent years, and I suppose that I’m spreading my wings a little bit more these days and doing so with the help of beautiful clothing and accessories.”

Dion will tour Australia next month, her first visit to our shores in a decade.
