The uber-fertile celeb who already has kids named Monroe, Moroccan and Powerful Queen is copping some flak over his 10th newborn’s name.
They’re really trying to get a Rise out of Nick Cannon.
Smart alecs have flooded Twitter with jokes making fun of the star for naming his 10th baby Rise Messiah.
Cannon, 41, announced that he and Brittany Bell welcomed their third child together last week in a sweet post on Instagram.
“WELCOME RISE MESSIAH CANNON,” Cannon wrote in a post to his Instagram Story, along with the date of his newborn’s arrival, “9/23/2022.”
He continued, “Probably the most difficult labor and delivery I have ever witnessed!” he added in a lengthy post to his grid. “48 hours of excruciating pain and life risking danger to welcome 10 pounds of Love and joy named RISE MESSIAH CANNON.”
But those on social media couldn’t help but poke fun at Cannon’s baby name choice.
“Why Nick Cannon keep naming these kids these bizarre names?” one critic asked.
“Can we make Nick Cannon disappear permanently for naming his child Rise Cannon? More specifically, Rise Messiah Cannon?” a second person pleaded.
“They gonna run out of names lol,” a third joked, referring to Cannon having nine other children.
“Damn nick, I hope you can remember each of their names without messing up,” a troll wrote.
“I hate when people bring God into their f**k s**t,” another added.
“I didn’t think they could top Powerful Queen but Rise Messiah takes the cake,” someone said, referring to Cannon’s daughter’s name.
“RISE MESSIAH??!!! That’s a lot to live up to. What if the kid just wants to be a vet tech or work at Best Buy?” one more joked.
“Another Avenger for Nick Cannon, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Human Inventory, Evolution & Longevity Division)” said another critic.
Cannon and Bell already share 1-year-old daughter Powerful Queen and 5-year-old son Golden.
The actor and TV presenter also has 11-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
Additionally, he and Abby De La Rosa share 1-year-old twins, Zion and Zillion, whom they welcomed in June 2021. That same month, Cannon welcomed baby boy Zen with Alyssa Scott, but he died in December 2021 after battling brain cancer.
Meanwhile, Cannon and Bre Tiesi welcomed a son, Legendary, in June of this year and he and Lanisha Cole welcomed daughter Onyx earlier this month.
Cannon may have his 11th baby on the way as well after De La Rosa announced she is pregnant with her third child in June.
Though she didn’t confirm that Cannon is the father, the US Masked Singer host shared on a podcast at the time that a stork was “on the way.”
