Pop superstar Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky’s baby will be entertainment-industry royalty.
As of Friday, he or she is already wearing coronation-level jewels.
In photographs announcing her pregnancy to the world, the Barbadian singer wore a hot-pink silk puffer coat and a chain belt, both vintage items from Chanel’s fall 1996 collection. Though it is snowing in the background—early flakes of Winter Storm Kenan—Rihanna’s belly is bare, showcasing a gold cross pendant and brooch styled as the focal point of a pearl-and-gemstone chain around her belly.
It’s a winterized, and accessorized, version of the maternity crop-top trend embraced by moms-to-be last summer. The coat’s buttons, embellished with Gripoix crystals, mirrored the pendant’s elaborate decoration.
