Barack Obama celebrates 55th birthday; pictures show how much he has aged since taking Presidency

The occasion marked his last birthday in office, as he prepares to handover the reins in November.
Word has it Mr Obama marked the big occasion with a night on the town.
He and his family dined at one of his favourite Italian restaurants, Fiola Mare, on the Georgetown waterfront.

The President and his family are leaving the White House tomorrow for their summer vacation.
They’ll spend about half of August on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
Did someone say a vacation — he’ll need it!
A look back at pictures of Mr Obama since his inauguration in 2009 til’ now show just how much the Presidency has aged him.
Back then he was a fresh-faced man with thick, black hair and endless enthusiasm. Today the plumpness in his cheeks has worn off and his hair has quickly turned to grey.
