But there was a slight hiccup which Ellen revealed on social media.
“They haven’t let me in to the White House yet because I forgot my ID,” Ellen tweeted.
She attached a photo of herself sitting outside on a park bench and included the hashtags: #NotJoking and #PresidentialMedalOfFreedom.
Once Ellen was given the all clear to enter the White House, she made the most of the star-studded ceremony and got everyone to freeze for a mannequin challenge [a viral internet video trend where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a video is recorded].
