But as far as after parties go, the Governors Ball is the main event.

Themed ‘Emmys Under the Stars’ this year, the famous post-telecast celebration prepared to host about 8300 VIP guests on a rooftop at L.A Live Event Deck — the first time its been hosted outdoors.

There were more than 240 chefs, 20 executive chefs, 50 floor managers, 300 technicians, 50 bartenders and 600 servers on hand to wait on Hollywood’s elite, dishing up expensive champagne, succulent steaks and 24-carat gold desserts.

Emmy award winner Thandie Newton was seen with her shiny statue at the venue, sporting a stunning high-neck pastel pink gown as she made her way through the scores of partygoers.

The HBO party is no doubt also proving a hit among celebs, being the 20th year the network has hosted a party on TV’s night of nights.

Taking place at The Plaza at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, the theme was ‘Garden of Eden’ as actors Emilia Clarke, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Mack, Jamie Lee and other A-listers rolled in to let their hair down.
