Whoopi Goldberg has publicly addressed speculation she was involved with disgraced sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein.

On Thursday’s episode of The View, the Oscar winner lashed out at a slew of rumours about her and labelled them “insane”.

Goldberg set the record straight on live TV after an online rumour that claimed she was one of the high-profile names featured on deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s flight log list.

“Apparently, they said I was on the island. And I don’t go anywhere!” she said. “So I’m just going to say — and there’s just been a lot of stuff recently, I don’t know what I’ve done to anybody — but apparently there are a lot of the [tabloid] sites [and] people don’t realise they can be harmful.”

One such list circulating on X, formerly Twitter, Monday stated that aside from Oscar winner, her The View co-star Joy Behar and stars like Angelina Jolie, Barack Obama, Beyoncé, George Clooney and dozens others were allegedly found on Epstein’s flight log.

However, a note via X moderators was added at the time that stated, “This is a fake list. The real Epstein flight logs have not yet been made public.” A long list of people associated with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein is expected to be made public in the coming days.’”

Following her remarks on The View, Goldberg went on to lash out at the dangers of “satire” in the news, and proceeded to debunk numerous other rumours about her that had hit headlines over the last few years.

“I never got kicked out of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant,” insisted the star. “I never got kicked out of Guy Fieri’s restaurant. I didn’t get kicked off Bill Maher’s show. I didn’t get into a fight with Oprah backstage here at The View. I mean, it just goes — it’s insane. It goes on and on and on.”

Meanwhile, dozens of A-listers have been named in the newly unsealed Epstein documents — including royalty, politicians and famous scientists.

The trove of papers filed in Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation suit against the dead sex offender’s “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell included references to Prince Andrew, former President Bill Clinton and Stephen Hawking, among other major figures.

The 40 newly unsealed documents are part of a larger group of about 250 that are expected to be released in the coming days — naming more than 170 people with ties to Epstein, including victims and former employees.
