Janet Jackson delivered an energetic, hits-filled New York City comeback Saturday night, headlining at the Panorama Music Festival on Randall’s Island to rave audience reviews.

“You killed #panorama yass Queen,” fan “Jojo” enthused in a tweet.

“JANET JACKSON reminded who TF she is,” tweeted another fan.

Fans tweeted that Jackson proudly announced, “I wrote my first #1 at 19 years old,” and at one point stared commandingly, and wordlessly, out over her cheering, sold-out audience.

“It’s a lot of hits, right?” the performer boasted. “There’s a lot more to come!”

It was just the distraction Jackson, 52, needed in the midst of a nasty divorce and custody battle — along with what a family source describes as “some depression” after the death of her father, Joseph, earlier this month.

“There are two things she wants to do: take care of her child and perform. This helps her get past some of her stress,” the family source said.

A Jackson family employee told The Post that the singer spent recent days preparing for the concert by “pacing and roaming around, and then she’ll go out and do a five- or six-hour workout and then she says she’s ready to work.”

When her father died, Janet’s mind was already occupied with thoughts of her brother Michael who died in June 2009, the family member said.

“Joseph was really sick, and she was thinking . . . the family was getting some sort of odd message that Joseph . . . would pass on the same day that Michael did,” the family source said.

Motherhood was the remedy for Janet Jackson's depression

The patriarch died on June 27; the King of Pop passed away on June 25, 2009.

The insiders say that Janet, who has been touring for the past few weeks, is slowly returning to her old self and has shed the conservative garb she donned while with now estranged husband Wissam Al-Man, with whom she shares a 1-year-old son, Eissa.

“When she was with Wissam, he didn’t allow her to . . . treat her fans to some sexiness,” the family source said.

“She wasn’t herself on stage — all covered up, being conservative.”

Her costumes while on tour have included hot pants and dominatrix-wear.

“This is the Jan that her fans love and the Jan [who is] fighting through all of that pain, all of that adversity,” said the family source. “She’s a Jackson, damn it.”
