In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • One option under consideration for Roman Reigns announcement next week is to have Braun Strowman attack him before he can make it. This would set-up a match at Great Balls of Fire and possibly another at SummerSlam if WWE opts to continue Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar.
  • There are some whispers Triple H is frustrated with Vince McMahon over how some NXT talents are being handled on the main roster, as he is said to feel their hard work is being squandered.
  • Money in the Bank is not sold out which, combined with bad ratings and worse social media scores for the ‘go home’ show than usual, is adding to WWE’s anxiety.
  • Former House of Hardcore announcer Vic Joseph is rapidly climbing the WWE ranks, having been given the 205 Live play-by-play job shortly after starting on Main Event. The company is high on him, but his new gig is because they want Tom Phillips to focus on SmackDown and NXT, not because WWE is unhappy with him.
  • Rusev is expected to return to TV on SmackDown after Money in the Bank.
