Israel says deadly strike on Gaza refugee camp targeted Hamas militant

An Israeli air strike on a densely populated refugee camp in Gaza has killed dozens of people and sparked widespread carnage.

The Israeli Defence Forces says those killed were terrorists, including a senior Hamas leader, while health officials on the ground claim most were civilians.

Meanwhile, the father of a young woman whose remains were found at the site of the 7 October massacre at a music festival has spoken of his heartache.

Israel bombs massive refugee camp

An Israeli air strike on Gaza’s largest refugee has killed at least 50 people, with rescuer workers combing through the rubble of multiple severely damaged buildings.

Photos from the scene show whole neighbourhoods decimated and large craters filled with debris, as well as rows of body bags lining the streets.
