Last year, Doja Cat reportedly lost more than 250,000 followers on Instagram after she got into a public spat with her loyal fanbase, who call themselves “Kittenz.”

“My fans don’t name themselves s**t,” she wrote on Threads last July. “If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f**king ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”

When her fans pointed out that the Agora Hills MC coined the term years ago, Doja said that she made up the moniker as an “alcoholic teen.”

The pop star then slammed “creepy” fans who used her legal name on their social media profiles.

The rant prompted several of Doja’s biggest fan pages — including the Kittens Room, Doja HQ and Doja Cat News — to delete their Twitter accounts in protest.
