Selena Gomez: Is it too late to say Sorry to Justin Bieber?

Gomez posted a short message on Snapchat indicating her regret at starting the stoush with Bieber.

“What I said was selfish and pointless,” she wrote.

Bieber had taken to social media threatening to deactivate his account if his fans continued to be nasty to his rumoured new girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

Gomez, who dated the singer from 2011 to 2014, blasted him, writing: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol — it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”
Bieber hit back.
“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still trying to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I’m not one for anyone receiving hate,” he wrote about Gomez.
“Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” Gomez wrote.
“I cheated ... Oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” he posted, referring to Pillowtalk singer, Zayn Malik, who is now dating Gigi Hadid.
 

Gomez was silenced after that comment and today decided an apology was the best route.

Fellow Bieber ex, model Hailey Baldwin, also posted a cryptic message about “taking responsibility for actions”, “misplacing blame” and trying to “manipulate a situation to make yourself look better”.

Bieber then stopped following Baldwin on Instagram and she did the same to him before he deleted his account.
