Beyoncé loved meeting Lupita Nyong'o

Many would geek out over the prospect of meeting Beyoncé, but who does Beyoncé truly stan? Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o.

On Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Queen of Katwe star told host Jimmy Kimmel about the time she met Beyoncé after the Met Gala in 2014.

“My friends were like, ‘Oh there comes Beyoncé,’” Nyong’o recalled. “I turned and she was coming towards me. It was her and Solange.”

A brief introduction followed: “She said, ‘Oh, me and my sister were just geeking out. Hi, I’m Beyonce.’” Nyong’o then faux fainted as she recalled the story. “What kind of world is this where Beyoncé is coming to introduce herself to me? Oh my goodness, it was amazing.”
