Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • In spite of consistent fan speculation that he’s not, Dave Meltzer insists Vince McMahon is in charge of creative for both Raw and SmackDown Live.
  • However, Court Bauer at MLW Radio says that while McMahon is reviewing scripts from Stamford during recovery from his recent injury, Triple H has had the final say on the ground for both shows.
  • WWE is considering two possibilities in early WrestleMania 33 planning for John Cena: an Undertaker match or, if the Dead Man is really retired, tying Ric Flair’s “offical” World title record with his 16th WWE championship win.
  • While he was liked in the locker room, non-wrestling staff are said to have had issues dealing with Alberto Del Rio’s ego, and aren’t shedding any tears that he’s gone.
  • A Facebook post from ex-OVW manager Kenny Bolin says former WWE Superstar Rico has been dealing with multiple serious health issues and has no money or insurance to pay for treatment.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
