Kevin Hart would never do anything for publicity nor anything to further his career that would harm his wife and anyone that says otherwise is "ridiculous and wrong" according to sources close to the actor.

Hart is being sued by his a woman who was featured in leaked sex tape with the 'Jumanji' star for $60 million. She alleges in her suit, Kevin actually helped film their encounter to hype his career.

Our sources say that if you think about what this person is alleging logically, the allegations quickly fall apart. They maintain that it doesn't make sense for Kevin Hart, to concoct a stunt to promote his comedy that would severely harm his wife and his marriage when his career was already skyrocketing.

"It's ridiculous and wrong," our source said.
 

When the video first leaked, Kevin was forced to apologize publicly to his wife and his family for his actions. None of which was fun or furthered his career, sources say.

We're told Kevin's team is already aware of evidence pointing the finger at his longtime friend, JT Jackson. The evidence is him allegedly trying to get paid for giving the tape back to the comedian.
 

We're told there are direct messages asking for a specific amount of money for the tape and a search history on his computer about how to get paid via BitCoin.

However, Jackson's legal team claims that he already dabbled in BitCoin and that this does not implicate him in any way. Jackson also says the messages obtained during the investigation did NOT come from him.
 

Montia Sabbag filed the lawsuit against Hart, his former friend Jonathan Todd Jackson, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the website, Fameoulous.

Sabbag is suing for negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

Bottom line: The story that Kevin Hart taped himself with another woman, used his best friend as a fall guy, helped extort himself for a payment, and let his wife Eniko be in the wake of it all...makes NO sense, our sources say.

The criminal case has a hearing coming up in LA County court, where a judge will review all of the evidence.
