Hello, f-rom the present moment, please?

Hello, f-rom the present moment, please?

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Adele, it’s that she doesn't shy away f-rom expressing herself. And a concert-goer harshly -- and very publicly -- discovered that this weekend.

During a gig at the Arena di Verona in Verona, Italy, Sunday night, the 28-year-old songstress shut down a concert-goer for filming the show.

"I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with a video camera?" Adele said in between songs f-rom the stage. "Because I’m really here in real life, you can enjoy it in real life, rather than through your camera."

The sassy Brit continued, “Can you take your tripod down?” she continued. “This isn’t a DVD, this is a real show, and I would really like you to enjoy my show because there’s lots of people outside that couldn’t come in."

The crowd swiftly applauded the singer’s request, and video of the incident quickly spread over social media channels.

The legality of filming live music events is admittedly messy. Some artists encourage fans to record and share, regardless of venue or copyright rules, so sharing photos or videos f-rom concerts has become commonplace.

But, take a cue f-rom this exchange: Leave the tripod at home and limit your concert-recording gadgets to a simple iPhone.

Or the opt for a more superior, Adele-approved lens: your eyes.
