KATY Perry’s Twitter account was hacked, with a number of offensive tweets and a leaked song being shared with her 89 million followers.

The Firework singer, who is the most followed user on Twitter, has since de-leted the profanity-laden tweets, which included a message to her rival Taylor Swift, saying “miss you baby”.

The pop stars are said to have a rocky relationship and Swift’s Bad Blood single is rumoured to be about their public feud.

Screengrabs of the now-removed tweets, some of which were homophobic and racist, were shared online in the hours following the security breach.

One was aimed at the YouTube personality Keemstar. “u a f*g @keemstar,” the tweet read.

The hacker also tweeted a link to a track on SoundCloud, which is believed to be an unreleased Perry song called Witness. The track was taken down after a copyright claim by her record label, Universal Music Group.

The tweets f-rom the singer’s account followed one that said “haha follow @sw4ylol #hackersgonnahack.” The Romanian-based account is still active and is believed to belong to the hacker responsible.

Perry has yet to acknowledge the intrusion, although no doubt her password has since been changed. She is the latest in a string of stars to have their social media accounts hijacked, including Swift, Lea Michele, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.
